Post Launch

Podcast launched on 10 December 2009 with first three episodes: Introduction, 21st Century Skills for the Workforce, and Technological Design. Added the fourth episode "Teaching & Learning" to the feed today. I'm very pleased so far with the reaction. Adding the feed stats with the YouTube views and download stats, it looks like a few hundred have viewed so far. Thanks for viewing, subscribing, and reading! Hoping people are thinking of lots of different ways to utilize this material...

Finished Editing...For Now...

Finally finished editing the material I've collected thus far. So, now I'll stop and turn some attention to trying to create some episodes. I think I've got enough to run with, but always concerned I don't have enough of the right material. So, I proceed with the thought that I may have to host a few more calls or interviews. Only one way to tell at this point...

Editing Anderson/Denton

Finished editing the interview with Ed Denton, ITEA prez, and Chris Anderson, NJTEA prez. Wasn't sure during the call how much usable stuff there would be, but was pleasantly surprised as I listened. Call with Ron Todd set for Tuesday and trying to pull a few more in.

Apps for Innovation

Decided to include another feature in the new site for launch. I'm reviewing iPhone apps and creating a review of cool apps for technology and engineering teachers. Hoping to get some traffic to the site before launch of the podcast. Hope it may work to get more visitors. More soon...

About the Education for Innovation Logo

The monochromatic scheme using shades of green was selected to represent how teachers of Technology Education have embraced teaching students concepts of sustainability and green technologies. The four circles interconnected each represent the areas of the STEM acronym: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. The focal point between the circles is reminiscent of the need to focus more attention to the "middle" of the STEM acronym, the T&E.

Aside

Got a twitter account set up for "Ed4Innovation" and tried to hit some keywords in some of the first tweets. Things are coming together with the material. I may have enough to edit a few episodes of connected thoughts from some intelligent folks. Do I have enough to get three episodes together? May have to fill in the holes...

One More Interview

Interviewed Phil Reed of Old Dominion University on Thursday regarding research trends in the field. Lots of editing to do as the raw material has been piling up a bit.
